The Conservative Party conference speech by Home Secretary Priti Patel saw a ratcheting up of the hostile environment against migrants. The dog whistle politics favoured by the Tories has but one intention, and that it to create fear and persecution, on those who choose to cross the English channel looking for hope and a future free of war, famine and destitution. Anti*Capitalist Resistance will stand firm and campaign against these abhorrent tactics by the Tories which tap into a growing right wing narrative and creeping fascism. We ask all our members to support this weekend of action.
As part of the weekend of action against the Hostile Environment, groups across the country are taking action. Find an action local to you and get involved, or register for one of the actions online.
All in-person actions will be socially distanced. Please remember to wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, and do not attend if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
